We understand that all children are unique and they all develop at their own rate. We encourage children to work at their own level and pace.
We focus on four areas of development: Cognitive, Social, Emotional and Physical.
In the toddler (2-year-old) group, we do different art, sensory, small and large motor activities. We also introduce and work on
- Language and letters
- Conversational skills
- Cognitive skills, such as: attention, thinking, reasoning, remembering, imagining
- Counting and numbers
Social and emotional development is very important at this age. We work on
- Learning to be a part of a group
- Sharing and taking turns
- Learning to listen to others
- Use words when need or want something
- Follow simple directions
In our preschool (3-4 year old) group, we expand on the things that are being taught in the two–year–old group.
Language and Letters- The kids learn to recognize the different letters in and out of order. They learn what both the capital and lowercase letters look like. They learn what the different letters sound like. The kids also start learning what different words start with and how to write the letters.
Conversational skills– We teach children to speak for themselves and how to express themselves using words.
Counting and numbers– We are always counting things at school! We learn what numbers look like and how to write them. We learn what numbers mean and what they stand for. We play lots of different math games as well.
